The other:

John Wiederholt has been working with his hands since he was very young. Always having an interest in science and the humanities, he studied Biology and Philosophy at Marquette University. Following his strengths, he pursued a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Boston University, recognizing that science, craftsmanship and social skills intersect at the profession of dentistry.

John Wiederholt has 20 years of experience providing general dentistry to patients.  He is content to work with patients of all ages, from all walks of life and those with complex cases. He has received additional training to improve his understanding of bite relationships and managing temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD). He is currently furthering his knowledge relating to implant-related treatment.   He is deeply committed to and has a reverence for placing high-quality, if not perfect, dental restorations.  He is ambidextrous and performs procedures with his hands interchangeably.  More than anything, he appreciates making connections with patients, understanding their individual values while rendering impeccable care. He commonly receives hugs from children and adults alike for the care he renders.

A native of the United States, he relocated to Toronto from Madison, Wisconsin, in 2023.  A resident of Cabbagetown, he takes delight in calling Toronto home.  Coming from a family of educators, John has always been inclined to teaching. Since moving to Toronto, he has served as a preclinical instructor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry as well as a clinical instructor in Treatment Plan Coordination and describes his interactions with students and patients as “pure joy”.

In his free time, he and his wife are regularly seeking out activities and interactions that inspire awe and wonder. He can be found bribing his two reluctant children with ice cream to tag along. He is happiest when he is on his bicycle or in a library surrounded by books.
